VOLUNTEERING IN THE MIRROR OF CINEMA "
Arezzo October 19 to 24. Guest director Paolo Virzi
From Sunday 19 to Friday 24 October takes place in Arezzo and in the four valleys "Matters of solidarity: volunteering in the mirror of cinema." This is a film festival organized by the Delegation Cesvot (Tuscany Volunteer Service Center) of Arezzo, in competition Festival featuring Italian films produced in the last five years that address significant social issues. Special guest director Paolo Virzi who will attend the final evening of the screening out of competition on the occasion of his latest work "The whole life ahead" and the winner of the Festival.
The program is divided into six evenings the first of which takes place in Arezzo Sunday, October 19 with the screening of "L'aria salata" (2006) by Alessandro Angelini, Giorgio Pasotti and with Giorgio Colangeli. The film, set in a prison, said that human affairs are intertwined in the harshness of this environment. Followed the next day in Monte San Savino "A Particular Silence" (2004) by Stefano Rulli, the story of little Matthew suffers from psychological problems and his parents and the child opened a farm house to accommodate children with various difficulties. Third Tuesday Sansepolcro projection 21 with the recent "The rest of the night" (2008) by Francis Munzi that tells the world of immigration and domestic workers in a complex picture of Northern Italy. Wednesday, October 22 Bibbiena "Red Like the Sky" (2005) by Cristiano Bortone. Based on a true story, this film tells the story of a man, blind since childhood due to an accident, and his tenacity in responding and trying to lead a normal life in the midst of many difficulties. The last film in competition is "Mario's War" (2005) on Thursday 23 to Montevarchi, the film focuses on themes of family with Valeria Golino among the leaders.
Friday, October 24th closing night back to Arezzo with the screening out of competition "Whole Life Ahead" (2008), Paolo Virzi's latest success with Sabrina Ferilli, Elio Germano, Valerio Mastandrea, glossy film about the precarious employment of our time. Paolo Virzi will be present in the room with Andrea Volterra, social media expert and professor at the University of Siena and Simone Emiliani, film critic of the Hiking Wild. Emiliani Volterra and belong together with Piero Paolo Matteini, archivist of the Film Library of Florence, who collaborated with the National School of Cinema-Film Library and National Museum of Cinema in Turin and Stefano Cipriani jury of the festival jury headed by Guido Fink, film critic national reputation, who will be responsible for reward in the closing night film director winner.
All screenings, free income, are preceded by a presentation of the movie, and keeping in Arezzo and in the four beautiful valleys of the province of Arezzo - Val di Chiana, Tiber, Casentino and Valdarno - are a perfect path to a corner of Tuscany, made of areas rich in history and beautiful scenery.
