Busker Festival The Festival of street artists in Carpineto Romano

"It's not a physical place but a place for the soul, a Neapolitan crib , a pre-empirical sixth heaven ... a place where you can have a satori, sudden and dazzling lighting, over a plate of polenta with sauce, snails. "
It 's the definition given by Franco Fosca, historical artistic director of the Busker Festival in Carpineto Romano, home to the beautiful ball in August and one of the oldest Italian festival dedicated to street artists.
The 2008 edition, the nineteenth, kicks off August 22. For two nights in Carpineto
will perform the best among the street artists, the organization of the City and sponsorship of the Lazio Region and the Directorate of Cultural Policy.
Many notable names that fill the streets of the country: Ruggiero Cilli, president of the busker's Piazza Navona and Luciano Poleggi Navona Square, Blue Angel, one of the best harmonica Italians, young and talented Rein of which is recently released his latest album "West" and one of the first Italian woman busker, Luana Guard. very interesting, for a total of 36 musicians, buskers of all ages and all backgrounds, who will perform the 21.45 to 23.45 of August 22 and 23 cardinals to the junctions of the old town, close to historical places or worship, fraschette, views and characteristic angles.
Without denying the quality that has always characterized the festival, this year's festival also takes advantage of the participation of the Association des Artistes Lino Macali. Lots of fun, magic, art and tradition create a theater that finds its most effective in the narrow streets, squares and streets, the natural places of the city where the artist and the viewer an intimate dialogue and the party celebrating their all.
To complete the action of musicians, the participation of street performers of various kinds and nationalities, experts in the various specialties of circus arts and buskers.
